Here’s a little bit of movie talk. For starters, now that Charlie Sheen has become the current president of the United States, we thought we’d bring up Eight Men Out. It’s a flick that Sheen had a bit part in back in the 80′s about the White Sox/Black Sox world series scandal. I just saw it for the first time ever two nights ago, and it’s seriously amazing. If you’re a baseball fan, or if you just like watching movies, watch this immediately. It’s available on Netflix instant watch and it’s seriously a great, great movie.
Also, if you haven’t seen it, or if you have but it’s been a while, watch DISTRICT NINE, again. Having worked for a humanitarian aid organization in East Africa for a couple years (even though this movie takes place in Johannesburg), it’s so relevant, so smart and awesome and full of aliens.
